Well... my midwestern roots mean I'm down-to-earth, not squeamish about meat or carbs or fried things, and totally unafraid of breaking a nail, but I've lived in New York long enough to don a trendy frock, use the proper fork, and navigate the city streets in heels. I'm certainly more jaded than when I moved here seven years ago, but still fully capable of giddy, unbridled enthusiasm. I'm a bookstore junkie, and I read too many articles about the presidential primaries (though I admit that I can't wait for this one to be over). At an old, boring pay-the-bills job, I wrote Choose Your Own Adventure stories for my friends. I know the *correct* meaning of the word 'ironic.' I bake. I listen well. Of course, you should know that I get cranky when I'm hungry. I don't throw temper tantrums or anything, but if our dinner reservations aren't till 10, you should be prepared to shove a granola bar in my trap or kiss me or both, if only for the safety of you and those around us. Otherwise, I'm fairly congenial. I love travel, and while I own my share of girly beauty products, I've also been know to board planes with little more than a toothbrush and a change of underwear.
