I was raised in a small town in NC and though I lost most of my accent in college, I still have a bit of a twang that comes out every once in a while. Likes: the Egyptian room in the Met, Highway 1, speaking Italian, walking in the park, really great coffee, anything designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and live music. Dislikes: NY Metro, Fox New, animals dressed as people, and the smell of the city in the summer. I spend my free time reading, taking modern dance classes and pilates, spending lots of time with friends, cooking (especially Italian and French), trying new restaurants, having long dinners with wine, going to art museums, meditation, walking in the park, hiking, watching movies, watching 30 Rock and Arrested Development episodes and anything else that makes me laugh out loud. I love traveling to new places, the more exotic the better! I spent my first year out of college living in Tokyo and I got to travel around Asia, and I absolutely loved it and want to see so much more. There's something about traveling to really foreign places that makes you feel so alive! I also love relaxing vacations to places like the Mediterranean coast, where you can enjoy the natural beauty but also have the excitement of being in a different culture.
