I am bright, creative, grounded, independent and realistically idealistic. Personal integrity, authenticity and an independent spirit are personal imperatives; I'm happy being who I am and try my best not to be anything I'm not. I feel lucky and am grateful for having been taught the value of self-reliance and living your own life/finding your own way in the world while still having a warm and supportive family that cares and valuing relationships and friendship. Friends say that I am a reassuring source of support because I am both concerned/ understanding/ intuitive and practical/ experienced and knowledgeable if problems needs to be solved. I can be gregarious and an extrovert but also have a private/quiet side. I'm driven and have definite professional and creative goals and aspirations but I also try to make sure I find the time/energy to relax and pursue the things that give me life. I inherited a strong desire/commitment to be engaged in life and the world and to try my best to make a difference. And, yes, I can be a sucker for romantic movies (Say Anything, Before Sunrise, Serendipity), music (Nick Drake, Patti Griffin, Bap Kennedy) and songs/lyrics (Nick Drake "Northern Sky", Ryan Adams "In My Time of Need", Springsteen "Drive All Night"). I'm steadfastly dedicated to the principle that it's not my job to make you laugh. Date Chris Rock (he's better looking). Right now, I'm interested in dating. I'd like a long term relationship but I'm more focused on finding something that works and letting things unfold in their own time.
