Slade Smiley is an actor, model and on-air radio personality Smiley grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and attended the University of Alaska at Anchorage for two years before transferring to California State University Long Beach to finish his studies in International Business. Smiley began riding bicycles competitively in 1983 as a way to keep in shape. He competed in a number of Men's U.S. National Cycling Championships as well as several World Mountain Bike championships. During his time as a professional athlete, Slade also worked as a model and commercial actor and was featured in commercial campaigns for Adidas, Gillette, Volkswagen, and Gatorade. Smiley is actively involved in several charities, including the Grayson Foundation, which is focused on cancer awareness for children. He has two children, Gavin Race and Grayson Alexander.
