About me:
I love anything that has to do with outdoor adventure and I'm looking for someone to join me on those adventures. I've been married (and subsequently divorced) and I'm in no rush to dive into a serious relationship. Looking for someone easy-going, who likes the outdoors and quiet nights at home. I'd rather spend the whole day out and about, head back home, watch a movie and cook dinner. I don't do the party/bar scene anymore....way over that! If a friend has a party or a bbq I'm in, but clubs and bars are really not my thing. I get up at 5:30 am five days a week to work out at the gym. I'd love to find someone to share that with... I also volunteer two times a month at the local community TV station and I take several classes. My schedule is packed but I'd make the time for the right guy. I obviously don't get out enough to meet the kind of guys I'd like to date, so I'm here! What else can I tell you? I was raised an Air Force Brat. Born in North Carolina (at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base - get a load of that name), moved to Washington State, then California. My Dad retired from the AF when I was going into the sixth grade and he took a job flying for USAir. And you guessed it, we had to move to Pittsburgh, PA. I hated it for a long, long time but grew to love the Steel City and its people. Yes I am a huge Steelers Fan, but my Dad was born and raised in San Jose so I also grew up watching the 49ers and the A's. I now live in Santa Cruz with my 87-year-old Grandmother in a home that's been in our family since 1921. If that freaks you out, get over it! After my Grandfather passed two years ago our family decided that either someone live with her or she would have to go into assisted living. I jumped at the opportunity to move up to the Bay Area and live with her...we take care of each other and I live in the guest house on the property. It's a pretty sweet deal and I'm learning so much about my family history that I probably never would have learned had I not moved in with Grandma... I also have the best parents on the planet - they've been married for 35 years and are my heroes. My younger and only sister is my best friend. She lives in San Diego with her new hubby (he's a pretty cool dude) and I talk to her just about every day. That's all I can think of right now...if you've got the same interest or are up for an adventure. Give me a shout!
