About me:

I never thought I had Saxon ancestors until I found out my surname was an old Saxon name. Obviously, we don?t have any mirrors in England. Now I?ve returned to the land of my forefathers, I?d like to make up for lost time (about 1000 years) and get back into the local social scene. I believe going out to eat should be adventurous, but I assume eating huge chunks of wild pig at the table is no longer the custom (I might be wrong there!) so I would like someone to explore the spicier side of dining out in Berlin and everything else this wonderful city has to offer. With my hair I can?t hide the fact that I?m a Rocker. I'm a Roller too; I like bikes, although I don?t have one at present. It would be embarrassing to tell you what I?m driving at the moment, but I can?t get my dog on the back of a motorbike. Champ is a golden Labrador and loves making friends (after biscuits) even more than me, but his idea of fun mainly involves balls, not wheels. Anyway, I like other types of music too and go to many concerts and shows. I?m also thinking of learning bass guitar. At least then I won?t have to learn any chords! Being a Rocker doesn?t make me a Philistine; I read a lot and I?m always pondering on the ways of the world. My past adventures and my heritage have given me an interest in History and Culture and my careers in Engineering and now Computing a strongly analytical intellect. What I?m trying to say is that my conversation doesn?t revolve around football, cars and tits! I?m willing to learn German, it can?t be much harder than French and I won?t have to put on a silly accent either. I think German ought to be in my genes and just needs digging out. I would like to learn some Saxon phrases as well as learn more about "the old ways". By this I mean Saxon art and craft. My ambition is to sail around the world on a tall sailing ship. I?ve never really sailed, but I love reading about pirates and explorers. Maybe I?m a romantic, or is it the Saxon/Viking in me coming out again? I?m not sure... If you like what you?ve read then don?t just sit there like a big dummy, write me an email and tell me what?s happening in your world! If you?re in your thirties (or so), speak reasonable English, and are a slow runner, then please get in touch. I?d prefer people from Berlin and it?s surroundings obviously, but I?m still interested in meeting people from all over Germany and the world - whether you?re searching for a partner, or just looking for a new friend.
