About me:
Me? Multifaceted and full of contradictions. Most importantly, though, I've got an easy smile, a warm, open heart and a bright, curious mind. I was born to immigrant parents who raised me with ?old-country? values, which, despite the inevitable (obligatory?) teenage rebellion, (mostly) stuck and, thankfully, have kept me grounded. I?m a native New Yorker (sans the accent, if you're wondering) and I love it here; the harnessed chaos fascinates me ? but I also love time on a warm sunny beach or quiet country trail where the only sound is the silence of nature. I left home at 18 and, on the way to the rest of my life, I flirted with medicine, dabbled in design, settled on law and never looked back. Now, I sincerely aspire to find the courage to jump willingly out of an airborne plane... but secretly won't feel bad about it if I never do. I'm sometimes shy, but always friendly and I enjoy those most who make me laugh and make me think. So, I spend my free time eating, drinking, talking, laughing, arguing, playing, learning, traveling, and just living life with the fun, smart, genuine people I'm lucky enough to know. I share (it makes for good memories). I avoid hurting others (there?s no reward in it). I follow through (it?s the right thing to do). But I have little patience for contrivance and pretense; so, I'm not afraid to call bullsh*t, which often surprises people... which always surprises me. I take care of my body (it's good for my mind) and I try to eat (sort of) healthy. Still, I?m a sucker for sweets and a perfectly grilled steak and I happily indulge when the opportunity presents itself. I love time with family & friends , (very) high heels, sunshine, my job, a hot shower after a great workout, a challenge and the feeling of pride in its accomplishment, food, words, furry (living) things, Central Park, good books, the precision of math, coffee, affection, good movies, happy surprises, the news, adventure vacations, kissing, the first whiff of spring, bear hugs, and making the man I love smile (not necessarily in exactly that order). I believe that love is conceived and thrives in shared laughter; so, I'm looking to share my life and my heart with a man who will inspire me, challenge me, believe in me, love me and keep me laughing till I'm old and gray.
