About me:
Family is important to me; when it comes down to it, I believe you have your family, and a couple of friends from each stop in life...you've got to stay close with family. I have been piecing myself together over the years. Growing up a sheltered kid in an Italian family, I learned the importance of values from my family. Honesty, faithfulness, reliability, hard working/driven, loyalty, openness, and respect are all important to me and things that I'd hope you value as well! I've also learned the importance of sharing my feelings and trying to actually put myself in someone else's shoes. I'm very introspective and transparent, which can sometimes get me into trouble (the old cliche "wear your heart on your sleeve" definitely applies!)...but who doesn't enjoy digging their way out of a little trouble every once in a while?!? While I'm obviously somewhat "cerebral" if you will, I can also kick back and party with the best of them! I've known Jack so long I get to call him John, I have a great time out at the bars and have been known to be one of the first (or maybe the only person) to get a little dancing going. I can be excitable, if you will, and my mind will just jump from topic to topic...combine that with the whole "speak my mind" thing and who knows what will come out! Over the years, I've learned some things that are really important to me in a relationship. Kindness is important, as is a touch of sarcasm, a willingness to compromise and self-sacrifice (at times). I've also learned the importance of finding ways to keep the excitement alive. Growth is very important to me; I am constantly looking to be the best person that I can be (whatever that happens to be at the time!) and I want someone who feels the same. I want someone who challenges me to be a better person/friend/lover but who also wants me for the person that I am and the person that I'm growing into. Professionally, I do work hard and long-term success/happiness is a significant motivator/time consumer in my life right now. When it comes down to it, I'm an independent person who strives for balance and am looking for that in someone else. I do things to extremes and I do find that I get bored easily, I live life day-to-day but I'm not afraid of becoming involved/committed with the right person.
