About me:
I'm one of those very lucky people who can say I very much enjoy my life. I'm more local/state focused. Though it's not what I'd intended to do when I came out for school, I couldn't be happier. I'm immersed in the political world these days, I still get out from time to time. I love playing softball (played in college) and I have a very fun pickup game of volleyball that I'll play during the weekends in the summer. I like to hike trails with friends, eat good food at interesting restaurants and go on weekend adventures. I'm extremely driven as a person and was instilled with good Midwestern values. Yes, I think it's important to try to make the world just a bit better if we can. I play on a co-ed softball team, hit the beach for volleyball, go out for dinner with friends, see movies, go to fundraisers and every once and a while just relax with a DVD or a West Wing episode. I love what I do, and feel that I can use my work to make a difference. On the side, I stay far too busy with other political work. FYI - I'm a strong Democrat. I love the Downtown restaurant and bar scene -- probably because I live down there now! As for travel destinations, I love places with history and beauty. I love new experiences and exploring our city. We live in an amazing area and there is always so much to do! From finding new spots Downtown to driving up the Coast to hiking in the Pasadena mountains, we live in a pretty darn cool area.
