About me

About me:
I am originally from Ohio and still have family there. I am proud of my midwestern roots. I have lived in California for 29 years and San Diego for 21. So I kinda feel like a native San Diegan. I came here to go to San Diego State, and pretty much never left. I was even stationed at Miramar when I was in the Navy. I am a HUGE Buckeye fan. Yes, I know that is a Notre Dame hat, it's a long story. I also support the Aztecs by going to as many games as I am able to. I really love music, but I am not musical. All kinds of music. I am usually walking around with a song going through my head. Unfortunately, it is sometimes a song I don't like and I couldn't get it out of there with a power drill. I warn you now, I can't dance AT ALL. I am willing to dance . . . until you say "stop, please stop." I have no problem making a fool of myself. I also must admit to the occasional good cigar, hence the "occasionally". Would not really consider myself an aficionado. Sometimes, I like to cook. I like to try new recipes and make them my own. I am a darn good griller, if I do say so myself. I am pretty handy. I generally try to fix it myself. But I am also willing to admit that I screwed it up and call in a professional. I am more of a lake than an ocean guy. I have seen a lot of the ocean. I served four years in the Navy, so iv'e seen A LOT of the ocean. I like spending time with friends and family. I love to read and watch movies. I love sports. Watching and going to games. Especially baseball and football. I like to play golf. I am in a bowling league. I also like to play cards. My favorite reastaurant is Marrieta's in La Mesa. I also love the San Diego Brewing Company. I am more a pub guy than a club guy. I would love to see Alaska. I have also never been to Europe. I would Like to see Germany and Ireland. I love all kinds of food. Can't really narrow it down to a favorite. Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite book. My favorite movie tends to change fairly often. Apocalypse Now and the Godfather are favorites.
