About me

About me:
I believe the attitude you carry towards life and other people has a direct effect on your life. Karma, if you will. Therefore, I try to live my life with the best intentions attempting to make the right decisions. But as I stated previously, I'm far from perfect and I mess up all the time - but I'm learning. My family is important to me. My ideal match would espouse similar values. Don't get me wrong though... my family is just as dysfunctional as the next... I guess what counts is that we always know we'll be there for each other. In my free time, I enjoy writing and photography. I find both activities to be incredibly cathartic when done right. All the other times, I become incredibly frustrated when the end product comes out contrived. I love the outdoors -- not so much because I'm this rugged outdoors wilderness type of guy -- but rather because I enjoy nothing more than being out with a cold beer or a glass of crisp white wine on a nice warm sunny day with good company. I'm a fan of holiday weekend BBQs, calling in sick for a day at the beach, a mid-day picnic by the lake, and of course attending any fairs/festivals/parades out in the city -- and I attend practically all of them. I have a fairly good sense of humor. I admit, it can be somewhat dry at times and tends to be self-deprecating -- but what can I say, I enjoy having a good laugh at my expense. I love food. That's one of the things I love most about San Francisco -- it offers a variety of authentic world class cuisine. I try to find new restaurants on Yelp all the time to eat at and I always hit up at least two restaurants when Dine About Town comes around. Nevertheless, I don't discriminate whether the restaurant is Michelin rated or a complete dive hole in the wall. Simply put, I just love good food. In fact, there is nothing that I will refuse to eat. I'm probably the least picky eater you will ever know. I love watching a good film. Typically not the movies you find at the top of the box office (but sometimes the Hollywood studios do it right!). I particularly enjoy most Woody Allen films, my favorite being Annie Hall. I figured I'd end with a scene from it:
