About me:

Hello, my name is Joanne and I am 31 years old. If a friend was to describe me in three words it would be caring, out-going and bubbly! I live in Wakefield, West Yorkshire but tend to socialise in Leeds! I work at Garforth Community College in Leeds. I am Head of French and I teach French and Spanish to 11-18 year olds. I enjoy my job most of the time and get on great with my students, but it can be challenging at times. Teenagers aren't always easy to deal with! I am busy in term-time, but I make the most of my holidays by catching up with friends and travelling. So far this year, I have been to New York, Lisbon, Barcelona and Prague. I am heading to the South of France at the end of this month. I really enjoy learning about new cultures and exploring new cities and being a linguist, I am always interested in new languages! I am certainly well-travelled and have lived in London and Paris during my twenties. I am a very sociable person. I love going out to bars, clubs and nice restaurants. I also love staying in reading a good book or watching a good film. I get on with everybody, I am very easy-going and very adaptable. I take exercise very seriously, healthy body, healthy mind! I go to aerobics twice a week and regularly go swimming. I have taken part in various tennis and dancing competitions at work as I like to get involved with everything. I think it is really important to look after yourself and take pride in your appearance. Finally, my family and close friends are very important to me and I put a lot of effort into these relationships. I always treat people how I expect to be treated myself and value honesty and integrity. I live life to the full and hope to meet somone with a similar philosophy on life and someone who shares these values.
