About me:
My name is Laura and I am new-ish to the city of Fullerton (Orange County). Previously, I have lived in Sunnyvale, Vacaville, and Riverside (always in California!). I don't remember much of Sunnyvale because I moved from there when I was in 2nd grade, but most of my family still lives around there (San Jose, Santa Clara, Los Gatos). I spent most of my life in Vacaville until I went off to college at UC Riverside. I graduated from there in December 2005 with a Psychology degree and a Business minor and then stuck around a while until I finally decided it was time to get out of the Inland Empire. That's how I landed here! :) As far as entertainment goes, I like to go out downtown, watch movies, play videogames, play dorky boardgames, and wander around in new cities or areas. I also enjoy going to State Parks and learning about random things that happened around the state, although I generally only do that with family because I guess it's too nerdy for the rest of the population to do haha. Most recently, I have joined a tennis class to get my skills back (I used to play in elementary school/junior high) and now I need someone to practice with! :) For work, I WAS (until I was recently laid off) a Six Sigma Black Belt, and no I didn't do martial arts! I basically worked on improving efficiency by collecting data and analyzing it. I also prepared my company's Southern/Central California, Arizona, and Las Vegas locations for audits by the corporate office. Basically everything I did for work required a lot of attention to detail and pretty decent skills in Microsoft Office programs. I can build one hell of an Excel spreadsheet, not that anyone cares ;) If I had to describe myself briefly, I'd say I'm a somewhat loud, sometimes outgoing, easily amused, self-proclaimed nerd. Not really a very good description, but that's all I've got for now! :)
