I am enjoying exploring my new surroundings. My favorite thing to do on the weekend is run The Mall. There's just something about running past the monuments and memorials that inspires me. It reminds me that there is more to life then the day to day stuff that is so easy to get caught up in. I get the same feeling of inspiration when I stand besides the ocean or hike up a mountain, which is why I am so excited for my upcoming trip to the Grand Canyon. It has to do feeling small, and that just helps me keep things in perspective. I'll try almost anything once, okay twice, just to make sure that I have really given it a chance. :) Horror movies aren't really my thing, but do like Halloween, gory costumes, and am really into this show on the Sci Fi channel about ghost hunters. I'm thinking about getting a certification in ghost hunting, mainly because it would be really cool to be at a party and "accidentally" drop my Ghost Hunter License on the floor and while picking it up causally say, "Oh geez! It would have been just awful to lose my ghost hunting license!" I'm not always plotting far fetched schemes. :) I genuinely enjoy learning about art, culture and music. I depend on my friends to introduce me to new artists, and I am so lucky that they have great taste. I love ethnic food: Middle Eastern, Indian, REAL Mexican (from Oaxaca), country European. I stay away from malls, but I love well made, stylish clothes. Required reading: NYT magazine and fiction; films, music, baseball games with friends.
