About me:
I'm determined, classy, sassy, sassafrassy, liberal, loyal, a traditionalist, passionate, extraordinarily disciplined and sometimes impossibly stubborn. I like Shel Silverstein books and cookbooks. I like to read about traveling (and traveling). I like 30 Rock and going to the movies--a lot. I like The Boss. I've never seen Casablanca, but I like Pulp Fiction, are they similar? Spelling "a lot" as one word annoys me. So does conjugating adverbs improperly. I'm not OCD about it or anything, but seriously, I won't respond if you mess that up. :-) I'm a diplomat, so I'm impressive and sexy. Like James Bond, who was more of a spy, but whatever. I go to cocktail receptions and travel the world and do important things all day. But don't let it intimidate you. I still like staying in and watching movies and eating popcorn or going out dancing and drinking beers in dive bars. I am generally an active person. I've run a few marathons and love how I feel after a long run. I enjoy most activities and sports, especially skiing, biking, yoga, swimming and boating (anything that floats!). Next year's goal is to complete a triathlon. Volunteering is important to me and I try to spend a few hours each month giving back to the community in some small way. I stay active with a local organization that provides on-going volunteer projects and activities. My family and friends are very important to me - they are supportive, fun, and unwavering! I enjoy meeting new people, learning, and exploring new places and experiences. I am always ready to travel, near or far. And as much as I enjoy exploring, it's always nice to return back home as well. I enjoy a wide range of music and explore all the great music venues around town. I don't watch a lot of TV but when I do it's usually Discovery Channel (The Deadliest Catch!) or TLC, A and E, Travel Channel. I love to travel, get away and explore new areas, but also enjoy the comfort of returning home. Around town, I spend a lot of time on the Mount Vernon trail, enjoying a neighborhood pub for a good beer, and strolling around Old Town. I enjoy staying active - usually by running, skiing (cross country and downhill), biking, yoga, hiking and trying out new activities and sports. I enjoy being on the water, either boating or swimming. I'd prefer to be outside than watching a movie.
