I feel like I am advertising myself! I've been told I am an eternal optimist. I really enjoy the outdoors and nature. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up I was the little girl wearing pink picking up bugs to scare my mother with. I know a fair amount of useless animal facts. I just recently switched careers from the spa industry to veterinary medicine. I worked as an esthetician for a few years, but being in a field so looks oriented just wasn't a good fit for me. I have always loved animals so when a position opened up at animal hospital I snapped it up. Its been hard working up from the bottom again but I'm really motivated and excited about everything I learn. I'm about to start school (through work) to become a licensed veterinary technician this fall. So I'm really excited about that. Running is one of my favorite activities, it helps me clear my mind and just feel good in general. I ran the Marine Corp. Marathon a few years ago! That was probably one of my greatest accomplishments. I'm not sure if there are anymore marathons in my near future, but I just started training for a 10-miler, which I'm looking forward to. I am very goofy and corny... I think it keeps things interesting! I think normal is boring. I am also a bit of a hopeless romantic... I'd like to think romance is like the movies even though I know thats a bit unrealistic. I love to cook and bake. Making others happy through food is so gratifying to me. I love food in general, especially trying new foods.
