About me:
As I?m sure is the case with most everyone, I don?t really know what to expect by doing this, but I thought I?d give it a try. I?ve spent the better part of the last decade building a hedge fund, and, as the fund has grown and more and more of the investment algorithms have become automated, I?ve semi-retired, and focus my energies now on a small array of philanthropic endeavors which have a relevance to loved ones of mine (they include breast cancer research, issues in pediatric psychiatry and I?m on the Board of Trustees of an orphanage and adoption center in India). The years have gone by very quickly, and I?ve neglected perhaps the most important aspect of one?s life, namely meeting someone. I?m very busy, but I?m now in the very lucky position that my time is my own; my schedule is such that business comes second, and my personal life can come first. I currently have primary residences in Jacksonville, Florida and Toronto, Canada. Since most of my charitable work is on the Eastern Seaboard, I will be moving to New York City in the new year for administrative reasons and to ease my travel schedule a bit.
