About me:
I believe in following the Golden Rule. My happiness/success is not found in material possessions, but in the recognition of something greater than myself, and the celebration of the interconnectedness and intrinsic value of all living creatures. I believe in the existence of light and dark energy in everything, and that "reality" is largely defined by perception and ego, and is therefore relative/subjective. In a culture of media saturation (overload?) and abundant negativity, I believe in the necessity of critical thinking and the power of positive thinking! While not a practicing Zen Buddhist, I identify with the notion that the fragile/flawed ego is the source of most human suffering, and is healthiest when regular deflation (being awed/humbled) balances inflation. (I acknowledge that the philosophy that works for me may be worthless for another!) I consider myself an intuitive who quickly recognizes toxic personalities/situations (and will extract himself as necessary!), but believe in the value of not judging a book by its cover- and happily serve as an example!! I LOVE royal/cobalt blue; seafood, spicy ethnic foods, anything I cook; playing in the rain, or hearing it on a tin roof; world music, classical, jazz, rock, classic country, soul, funk, r and b; dressing down, up, or being naked! I shop only as necessary!
