About me:
I?m always curious about the world around me. I constantly wonder why things are the way they are ? how cultures develop, why what we accept as ?norms? are so. I?m an academic at heart, if not always in practice. I think the word foodie sounds silly, and gourmet is incredibly pretentious, but I really enjoy cooking, eating delicious food and drinking delicious liquids. I have honestly never been to a Red Lobster before. I?m very passionate about my work, but I also appreciate opportunities to escape from it. I?m unashamedly liberal, which is why I work in politics. I have a degree in music. I like at least a little bit of every genre of music, from emo indie rock to Bluegrass to musical theater to opera, and don?t like every single piece of music of any single genre. I don?t really watch movies. It?s not a conscious decision that I make, but it?s never something that I would think of to do for fun. But if you like movies, maybe you can change my mind.
