Living life like a movie star, rapping like a legend and creating her own lane for success it's San Diego's finest Blayze. Born and raised in San Diego, CA to parents of Filipino and African American heritage Blayze grew up bridging the gap between the two cultures. Growing up Blayze would write rhymes for fun but didn't see music as a long term hustle. That all changed after she performed for the first time and felt the raw power of controlling a crowd with her lyrics and performance. After her first performance Blayze was surrounded by new fans and other artists who all told her that she had a undeniable style and star power and pursuing music was a must for her. From that first performance Blayze would spend the next five years perfecting her craft writing new songs every day, performing at every chance she got and establishing herself as the hottest female artist in San Diego. Blayze states her influences as female artists like Left Eye, MC Lyte, Aaliyah and Da Brat all of which she credits for setting a great example while blazing the path for herself and other female MC's. Blayze also credits Snoop Dogg, Too Short, Ice Cube, Mac Dre, and Notorious B.I.G. as artists who have influenced her rhyme style. Recognizing her for the buzz she was creating in San Diego Blayze was chosen to not only appear on the cover of Imperfekshun Magazine twice but she also was asked to write a one page article on being a female MC. Blayze's grind hasn't gone unnoticed by the industry either as Blayze was brought to San Diego record label Sidewayz Ent. to record a group project entitled "Juice In The City" with her partner in Rhyme Billy Da Kidd. Sidewayz has long been a recognized and successful record label in the West Coast music scene and was confident that combining their resources with Blayze's talents would lead to even more success for both Blayze and the label. In 2009 Blayze is still going strong and has established herself as not only the hottest female MC in San Diego but soon will hold the title as hottest on the West Coast. When asked of her plans for the future Blayze simply states "Today I'm San Diego's finest, tomorrow I will be the West Coast's Finest and the day after that the World's Finest female MC."
