About me:

I'm an emotionally and financially independent, assertive person, with strong morals and integrity, currently working lots of hours which leaves me very little to no time for a social life - hence my coming here. I'm very active in environmental and wildlife causes, and my current favorite hobby is birding. I'm not one of those "Earth Mother" types of girls - no treehouse-living, patchouli-smelling, hairy legs and Birks here. I just believe strongly in doing what we can to minimize our impact on the planet. In fact, nothing has more therapeutic value to me than watching the birds at my feeders. You'd be surprised at their social dynamic!! I have a good sense of humor, albiet morbid at times, and use it frequently, as there are just too many things in life that I find funny. :) Kayaking is my favorite summer activity at the moment, but I've been too busy to do it this summer. And OMG, getting out of it is probably one of the craziest, contortion-inducing things I've ever done! My uncle has photos of this event and we have reached an understanding - he doesn't EVER show them to anyone and he gets to keep living... ;) I've recently rediscovered bowling and would love to join a league, except I'm really not that great at it.... I would love it if I had someone to go bowling with me so I can hone my skills. I travel alot, though not as much for pleasure as I'd like, and whatever destination I choose usually has some historical or environmental relevence. I've also been know to make plans on a spur the moment basis and take off for a weekend, just to get away.
