About me:

I'm a hard working, young professional who's still not sure where he's going but know how to get there. I'm a bit artsy (Theatre major!), a bit geeky (work at a software company), but outgoing type of guy. I'm very laid back and take every day as it comes. And if I had to sum up what I"m looking for, I'd have to say someone who makes me happy and I just feel so comfortable with you couldn't imagine things being any other way! I'm a very outgoing and outspoken person. I'm a huge fan of getting to know people and becoming good friends - I think friendship really sustains all things. I love to travel and see the world (So far I've been to Canada, France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and I lived in the UK for 2 years!) and I dream of traveling Asia and Scandinavia - just need a good travel buddy! I don't care if we stay in hostel or luxury hotels, it's about the experience - let me tell you about this shady hotel I stayed at in London one time! So shady, but the price was right. I love being spontaneous - like random 2AM trips to the nearest 24 hour Walmart, even if it means a 60 mile drive. I love to cook and can always find my way around the kitchen. I'm working hard and am really on track with my training program! The only downside is that it means I wake up at 5AM Mon - Thurs to train before work! That's a bit painful because I love to sleep in. I'm also a volunteer firefighter which is a great vent from my office job and helps me feel like I'm making a difference in the world. I love training for it and am very involved in my department and it means a lot to me. I love people who speak their minds and are adventurous, with a quick wit and a sense of humor. I love to laugh so if you can make that happen, we'll get along great. I still love watching cartoons every now and then (Adult Swim, South Park, Family Guy or Futurama anyone? Fess up!) and have been known to quote Monty Python/The Princess Bride and most any other movie at random. I've been known to watch the random episode of anime as well. I'm totally at peace with my innate nerdiness and can spend hours reading Wikipedia just for the hell of it. My TV is almost always tuned to The History Channel, Discovery, TLC, Bravo or Comedy Central. Honesty and integrity are huge for me, and I'll always be true to my word. I also really want to meet people where we feel like we can be ourselves around each other - people are always trying to change themselves or other people - I just want you to be you and me to be me. My family is also important to me and I'd love to find someone who gets on as well with them as I do. I've always been a fan of blankets and a fire in the fireplace. I love dressing up and getting a good glass of wine but am just as at home throwing on jeans and a hoodie to go get some good beers and some wings (BBQ). Somehow I have as much metal as I do classical music on my iPod and I like it that way. Driving with the windows down and singing at the top of your lungs always makes the day better. And I often indulge in NPR on the commute to and from work.
