About me:
I'm upbeat, optimistic, energetic, and fun. I try not to take myself or most things too seriously. Honest to a fault, I speak my mind and have been accused of having no filter. Music is one of my passions and I frequently attend shows at the 9: 30 Club/Black Cat. I enjoy running and playing league sports as well as reading. I was training for a 10 miler but was derailed by a pesky injury. I also could probably spend several days locked away playing Guitar Hero or Rock Band and be quite happy. Throw in a night of wine and Scrabble - I'm sold. I definitely feel a sense of community and spend a good amount of time volunteering. I appreciate others who are invested in the community, too. I have been working on expanding my cooking skills beyond the handful of recipes I can currently execute. It's still a rare occasion when I turn on my oven. My friends would describe me as outgoing, sharp, funny, spontaneous and a bit quirky. I'm also very sarcastic with a dry sense of humor. I'm pretty close to my family and it's not unusual for me to spend a Sunday afternoon down at their place. It helps that my dog lives there (he's the black and white guy in the picture). My music choice is often based on my mood, but rarely will I veto the classic greats. Larry David is a genius, but I won't deny I sometimes am sucked in by reality TV. I love sushi--I'll even eat it on Sundays (isn't that supposedly a no-no?). Love reading fiction novels, catching up on Lost/Grey's Anatomy, hitting the beach, camping, hosting cooking events, enjoy Thai food, Spanish Tapas, and Malaysian cuisine.
