About me

About me:
I love lazy weekend mornings and a good hot cup of tea. I love to cook, eat, laugh, people watch, and talk about the world. I especially love to discuss peoples opinions on the subjects they believe most impact them/shape their lives. I'm fascinated by and most interested in people. I like to ride a bike and walk over driving. I'm pretty at home with a wide variety of people and places. I spent my upbringing living and traveling overseas with my foreign service family, and needless to say I enjoy traveling a great deal. There is still so much of the world I want to see! I love to study the esoteric (Buddhism, Hinduism), reiki, chi kung, energy healing systems, and the kundalini. I am trained as an EMT and Firefighter and volunteer when I can. I have been contemplating making it a more permanent arrangement. I really feel a need to and enjoy helping other people and hold this value up high. I have never felt better than when I know someone is better off for having been helped by my actions. Eventually I would like to work for the government in some capacity similar to that of my parents. I firmly believe in the power of human interaction and feel that we can find similarities so outweigh differences in the world. I would love to have a hand in making this possible for people. I enjoy working out a lot, yoga, martial arts, run when I can, and can never wait to get into the woods to hike with my puppy. I think I'd rather drink fruit juice than soda pop. I enjoy movies, especially horror and sci fi, but don't own a lot of them, I enjoy music but don't own nearly as much of it as I should. I've been on an Explosions in the Sky kick for a couple months now. I love watching south park for its overwhelming ability to make me cry from laughter. I love hanging with friends, especially over dinner and a few good beers or glasses of wine and discussion. I have made a point to try a new beer whenever I am in a new place, so far this is working out pretty well. My best friends and I have been known to endlessly debate, not so much because we dont agree with each other but more just to think about why we think a certain way about things, especially when it comes to anything socially related.
