“Dave and I met on FirstMet! Dave liked me first and we began messaging back and forth. This quickly progressed to texting several times a day. Our conversations were great and we were starting to talk about meeting. Within the first couple of weeks I had a serious family matter come up and I felt that I was not in a position to pursue a relationship with Dave. I wanted to be fair to him and explained my situation. He was very understanding and thanked me for my honesty and wished me well.

At this point I thought, this was it…..we were over.

Dave messaged me every few days with messages of support which meant the world to me. I asked him if we could just talk with no expectations for romance as I felt very drawn to him. He was okay with this as he said he was drawn to me as well. And so the texting began and we shared lots of information about ourselves. We quickly realized that we had many things in common in our feelings, life experiences and attitudes about life… past, present and future. A while after, we decided it was time to meet! We live an hour and a half away from each other and even though I warned Dave I was directionally challenged , I didn’t think it would be as bad as it was. We BOTH missed the meeting place and Dave ended up driving up the highway to find me sitting on the side of the road! We then went for a late lunch and shared some great conversation. We now take turns visiting each other weekly, talk daily and have become a solid couple looking forward to our future.
