When It's OK to Stop Replying
Disappearing without a word — "ghosting" — hurts, and most of the time a short, polite message is kinder: "Thanks for chatting, but I don't think we're a match." But sometimes you owe no explanation at all.
They make you feel unsafe
Pressure, aggression, anger, ignoring your boundaries. Do not argue or explain — it can make things worse. Stop replying, block them and report them: /content/view/how-to-report-a-user
They will not take no for an answer
You have said clearly that you are not interested, and they keep writing. Another explanation will not help. Block them.
It looks like a scam
Requests for money, a story that keeps changing, photos that do not match, pressure to move to another app. Stop replying and report them.
They lied about something important
Age, relationship status, their photos. A relationship that starts with a big lie has little to build on.
They are rude or insulting
Disrespect early on rarely gets better later.
The conversation goes nowhere
If they rarely reply and never suggest meeting, it is fine to let it fade. Your time matters too.
In every other case, a short message is enough — and it is what you would want to receive.
