Consent
Every person you meet has their own boundaries. Consent means getting a clear agreement for any intimate activity — and respecting the answer.
What consent is
- It is freely given. Pressure, threats or manipulation cancel it.
- It is specific. A yes to one thing is not a yes to another.
- It can be withdrawn at any time, by anyone, even after a yes.
- Silence is not a yes. Hesitation or "maybe" means no.
- Someone who is drunk, drugged or asleep cannot consent.
Asking and answering
Asking out loud is the clearest way, especially with someone new: "Is this okay?" "Do you want to…?" Keep checking as things go on. If the other person seems unsure or uncomfortable, stop and ask how they feel.
You never have to do anything you are not comfortable with, and no one has the right to push you. Say what works for you and what does not.
If something happened without your consent
Get to a safe place first. Call your local emergency number or the police if you want to report it. Then tell us: /content/view/how-to-report-a-user
